Stephanie has a great idea, here.
My goals for this year are:
- To run at least one official 5K. (I don’t know if I can commit to 8 without having done one first.)
- Make a quilt for a someone secret (the fabric has been purchased!)
- Knit ThroughtheLoops’ 2013 Mystery Sock (Ravelry)
- Knit-a-long with my ZPDK: Azzu’s Shawl (Ravelry)
- Get a great photo of the two of us for this year.
- Sew a new dress.
- Begin to reduce the amount of “stuff” I own. As much I am attached to many of my things, I think much of it is weighing me down.
- Run 100 miles in 2013.

As the Tour de Fleece ends (so I hear), I give you my usual contribution to the cause.

chain plied into approximately 276 yards of heavy dk/light worsted weight
spun on my Louet Victoria
Another lovely from Rita at Yarn Hollow.

I got lots and lots of fun fluff to spin, mostly from Yarn Hollow. I buy something from Rita every year I go. It’s so amazing. I also bought a skein of merino/silk lace weight from Chris of Briar Rose, plus a little sewn pouch that I forgot to ask who made it when I paid for the yarn. There were no tags other than price.
Bringing all of this fiber into my stash, along with looking through Bowerbird’s spinning archives, has made me realize that I just want to spin up everything I have as soon as possible so I can experiment with more. To date, I’ve spun mostly merino and blue faced leicester . When I have the space and time, I would like to buy a fleece and do everything myself from start to finish. I’ll try to post about this later.

I think today was a rather productive day. I mailed out a package, dropped some clothes off at Goodwill, and put away all of my clothes. I even played a little bit of tennis with Cameron. In the next few days, I’ll be sorting through all of my crafty stash to put together a package for my Super Crafty Swap. I hope my partner won’t be too bummed that I can mostly only offer yarn from my stash because that’s mostly what I do. I don’t have much scrapbooking paper or anything because I think I threw that away (horror!) last summer when I cleaned out all of my stuff. At least I’ve got $10 to play with. I think I need to hit my local coffee shop, Northwoods. They have a bunch of cute little stuff that might be fun to include for my partner.
Well, I’m going end my evening with a cup of tea and some knitting. And junk TV.

After a fun afternoon with a few fellow Zombie Prom Date Knitters, I came home with a full belly and yarn! We went to Your Local Yarn Shop, which has an amazing selection and I wish I were made of money. I also got to watch my first high school orchestra concerts. Good job, Emily and Graham!
Either tonight or tomorrow, I’ll post finished photos of my Print ‘o the Wave.
